And to All, A Good Night..err Morning...

As I was working this morning, I turned around to find that it has obviously been a long morning for a certain two-year-old. Every day, it seems, I find him doing something hilarious...he's a blast!

Need a New One...

Apparenty, Rusten has finally outgrown his carseat carrier. Maybe if we take the legos out, he'll fit better.......

Not much to say here...

Yesterday we went to an Oaks Children's Center Staff Appreciation breakfast. It was a lot of fun and Rusten had a great time playing with all the kids - oh, the temptation to leave him was strong! It was a real blessing! It's great to work for people that take such good care of you!

We came home and took care of a few things before we went to pick up Uncle Nathaniel from school. Then we came home and got ready to leave as soon as Rich got home. We took dinner to the Champion family, since Chris finished up a week of chemo yesterday. What a blessing to do that!!

We left from there and went to have dinner and fun and Darrell and Mandy's house. It was a lot of fun! We had bacon, chicken and swiss sandwiches and fries, pasta salad and Sherah made a strawberry shortcake dessert. Mmmm!

We discovered Reed's new favorite toy activity! He loved the jumper that Baby Abby has! We had fun watching him jump all over.

Then the adults played 10k with dice - I lost both games.

Baby Abby fell asleep in the jumper...so cute! And I caught a cute pic of Reed sleeping. Just a hodge-podge of pics and info here today...not much to blog about!

After reading Luke 19 yesterday, I decided it was time to teach Rusten the Zacchaeus Song. He loved it, though he can't remember all the motions. He tries, but gets stuck with binoculars at his eyes. So, for your viewing pleasure, Rusten's debut....

Great Sundays Lead to Poopy Mondays

We had a great Sunday yesterday. We got to meet Chase - Mimi and Papa's horse and run amuck in the dirt. We came home and got cleaned up and then had dinner with Mimi and Uncle Nathaniel and watched Monk. It was a great Sunday!

Then comes Poopy Monday. My son decided that he needed to poop, so he went and sat on a book in the living room to do the job. Then he came crying to me, mid-job (so-to-speak), to let me know what was going on. He did end up finishing in the potty, but not before my poor hands were subjected to the misery. I understand if no one ever shakes my hand again! Luckily he was wearing his swim trunks, so I just cut the lining out of them and tossed them in the wash. Unfortunately that's a much messier job than it sounds. With all that being said, we are recovering nicely, and I anticipate a much less poopier afternoon!

A Plea (for a) Bargain

I have seriously just wasted my day online. I have been all over this little web and there ain't no coupons worth printing!!!! I'm trying so hard to be the frugal little wifey! I shop at Winco, the world's cheapest grocery store, and I thought I could perfect my shopping with a few coupons. Well, I learned that online is not the way to do it....5 hours later.

So, that's where my readers come in! Does ANYONE have ANY idea on how to get good coupons? I guess the Sunday paper...is that worth it anymore? PLEASE HELP!

On a lighter note, Rusten decided today that he wants to go back to being nursed. I'm not sure what his fascination is with nursing right now, but I was pretending to hold him like a baby, and he said "Usten feed" and started to lift my shirt!!!! I was quick to stop that one.....not a big fan of nursing kids that can ask for it! :)

Serial Shoe Arranger and Rock Star

The other day, I found Rich's shoes in disarray and noticed something in the shoe stacker - instead of shoes. Whoever our culprit is (I don't know if we'll ever be able to figure out who) moved the shoes and left their mark......a book!

Also, Rusten wanted to watch a movie the other day, and found one with guitars on it. It was Rich's Eric Clapton Crossroads video. He insisted that's what he wanted to watch, and then he went and got his guitar and rocked out with Eric Clapton!

Sitting Silently

Okay, I'm tired of talking to myself. My husband so graciously pointed out to me that no one comments on my page (he also used the time to critique my spelling in my last blog...ugh). So, pretty much, I guess I'm just talking to myself out in cyberspace. No more watching silently....I won't allow it...somehow??! Please leave me comments - I'd love to hear from you!

Okay, I'm going to stand up now, go get my dignity, and finish cleaning the house!

And so....it begins!

Tomorrow is the first public Sunday for our new church! The Way Fellowship is officially open tomorrow to the community. We have been meeting since January, and have been in the school since March. We're still working on some last minute details, but we're excited about what tomorrow holds. The men in our leadership (Rich, John Bryant, John Champion, and Anton Lotter) headed to Pismo yesterday to have a time of dedicated prayer for Sunday. Our families have really been under attack - especially the Champions.

John has had a cancerous brain tumor for the past two years. He has lived much longer than expected - praise God! However, in recent weeks, it's getting much worse. Yesterday he received word from the doctors that the tumor has really spread. He can hardly talk anymore and has lost the ability to write or type - so frustrating for such an intelligent man! God has had his hand on him so far, and we are praying for a complete healing! Please join with us as we lift up John and Dawn Champion, as well as their kids, Dan, Chris and Mihaela.

So, hopefully, tomorrow I'll be able to blog again with pics of our first Sunday out! Please bless our meager efforts to follow you, Lord!

Elmo's Hungry....Feed Him!

I was working on the computer and turned around to find Rusten nursing Elmo...apparently he was very hungry and he, like Reed, is still nursing. I took a couple pics, then I decided that it was video worthy. I'm throwing it all in here, so you can enjoy it too!!!!!

And as I'm posting this, I hear my bedroom door shut. I look down the hall at him and he's telling me (quietly) that Elmo is asleep in there. He asked me for a pacifier for Elmo so, of course, I had to let him get one. So....here's what that looked like!!

Miss the Blog

I apologize for my recent silence. I actually had all of our Easter pics ready to upload and one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I woke up in April!! Since I last wrote, Reed's grown two teeth and started eating solid food. Rusten has grown more ornery. Rich has grown as an amazing leader and speaker. I've just grown....bummer!

I will hopefully get back to blogging soon, just wanted to let ya'll know we're still alive here on Gosford Road.
